Usually I don't like to do stuff like this, but this one is really necessary because I have fallen in love with this product and I use it almost everyday now!
I'm never really a big fan of lip glosses, because to me they seem just too high maintenance. But Neutrogena's MoistureShine Lip Soothers have worked their way into a permanent spot in my makeup bag. They are relatively low maintenance, and I feel like I don't really need to apply them for a few hours after first application, which to me earns MAJOR brownie points. They are very glossy and shiny, and really are soothing to me. My current favorite color is "Gleam"

There are alot of people in the world that don't believe you can be pierced and fashionable. But I believe facial piercings can be as much a fashion accessory as a nice scarf. Carefully selected and cared for, a piercing can enhance your image, and instantly add to your edgy factor.
A few fashionable, pierced people:
Christina, with her labret and nose piercings
Pink, with her nostril piercing
Mutya Buena, with her Monroe

But, I just want it to be known that you don't have to think just because you have a piercing, you look trashy or unfashionable. Done just right, piercings can be great assets to your image.
What piercing do you have or would you like to get?

Everyone's seen them, the signature Jonas Sunglasses. Very 80's, and very in for Summer 2009!
These sunglasses can be a little intimidating, and you might be afraid of looking a little foolish while wearing them. But trust me, I can help you pull them off!
Of course the key to a perfect retro sunglasses look is the perfect pair. Mine were $4, on sale at discovery.
You can get them almost anywhere, but I really like the ones you can get at Forever 21
This pair may be a little kookie, but they do have a lot of simpler colors and prints. Almost all their sunglasses are only $5.80, and they have plenty of cute ones if Jonas glasses aren't your type. Forever 21 is definitely my favorite places for stylish shades.
Now you got the shades, you need the clothes to go with them!
If you really wanna go all out, they could be everyday glasses, but there are outfits to attain maximum cuteness of the sunglasses.
My favorite way to wear them is with skinny jeans and a cheeky graphic tee:
I got these at PacSun for $35.99You can get graphic tees anywhere, but my favorites are the vneck graphics from Hot Topic.
For 20 bucks, you have endless cute tee options. There's also a lot of cute tees at Zumiez, like this one:
Pair these with your favorite cardigan[weather permitting], and your styling and profiling! What's your favorite way to wear your shades? Post a link to your blog so I can check it out!

A Little Slice of Happy
Posted in on 11:11 PM by Sassafras
Being the eccentric girl I am, a lot of odd things, website, pictures, etc make me really happy. Some people find them really weird, but they never fail to but a smile on my face.
Boys with Black Nail Polish
Oh how they set my heart a flutter. A guy can be pretty ugly, and black nails give you at least eighteen brownie points in my book.
the nails almost make me forget the boa and the reverse flattop.
Yum.
How totally stoked on life are they? Almost to stoked.

Who doesn't love a bouncy tarp? If I was ever depressed, trampolines would be the cure.

It sounds really weird, but no tv show would ever make me as happy or interested as an infomercial for a gimmicky cooking product or miracle weight loss.
I bet he is a total chick magnet.
I'd tap that
And of course the king of infomercials.
RIP Billy Mays!

About the Owner
Posted in on 10:37 PM by SassafrasHi, I'm Chloe[to the left]. I'm not a fashion guru, or a math geek, or a techie or anything. I'm a 80's enthusiast and an internet junkie. I live in the United States. I love to dye my hair, and overdo my makeup and gawk over boys with black nail polish. I dream to own a 67 Caddy Hearse and be perfectly rockabilly with the best red lipstick ever. I'm pretty much just a normal chica, and I hope at least a few people are a little interested in what I have to say :]
My Top Ten Beauty Products
Posted in on 8:08 PM by Sassafras
I'm not really a high maintenance chica, so everything on this list is pretty much drugstore. There are probably more than ten products in this category, but these are ten of the cosmetic things I use every single day.
Number One
Helen of Troy Hot Tools Straightener
I love this straightener! It heats up really quickly, and it works perfectly for my thin hair. It has tourmaline and ceramic with far-infrared heat, which ensures there are no fly-aways and it won't fry your hair, so it's safe for everyday use. Plus, its pink! I got mine at sally for $45.00.
Number Two
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
I've tried an awful lot of drugstore foundation, and this is a favorite for a few months. It has good coverage, and blends pretty well. My only complaint is the strong smell, but its easy to get over for such a great product. You can find this at any drugstore.
Number Three
Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara
I am admittedly a mascara junkie, and this has been my favorite of all drugstore mascaras. It makes for huge, fat lashes and minimal clumping. It doesn't do much in the way of length, but that's not one of my major concerns. It has a really weird rose scent, but it doesn't stick with you so no biggie. This is also available at all drugstores.
Number Four
Clean and Clear Acne Cleanser
I don't really have a major acne problem, but this scrub works amazingly for sudden breakouts, and for oily skin. I use this everyday, just for upkeep of my skin. It hasn't dried my skin out thus far, so I think it's a good pick. Once again, a drugstore find.
Number Five
HIP Shadow Duo in Adventurous
This is a really great neutral duo. I really like the taupe-y one for everyday, it looks great with everything. The pink is also a really nice color, both as pigmented as the name promises them to be. Another Drugstore item.
Number Six
L'oreal Infallible Eyeliner
Its really hard to find a good eyeliner that won't smudge or wear or after a few hours. In my tests, this one has definitely lasted longest. Plus, it has a really dark nice color that I like, for intense eyes. Drugstore all the way!
Number Seven
Wet N Wild Rock Solid Nail Polish in "Quartz of Course"
I never thought I would find a WetNWild product I really like, but this one has surprised me. I really the the color, it's very bright and the right amount of shiny[the one laying down in the picture in the color I'm wearing]. Drugstore, of course!
Number Eight
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
Being a big fan of pampering myself, I love using this soothing mint masque! It's good for soft and smooth skin, and clears blackheads really well. I only use this about twice a week, but I definitely though it deserved a spot on this list.
Number Nine
Tressemme Heat Protection Spray
This stuff works great for protecting my hair against heat damage, seeing as I use my straightener everyday. Plus, it smells really good :]
Number Ten
Max Factor Vivid Impact Lipcolor in Ms. Right
Every girl needs a perfect red lipstick. This one if my personal favorite, for when I'm feeling extra sassy;]
Well now that I've bored you to death, I think I'm done. These are the ten products I couldn't live without. But the list is changing all the time:]
